Leadership Kenosha — February 2025

LK-Feb25

Leadership Kenosha’s February session was packed with valuable insights on Business & Economic Development and the second installment of Inclusive Leadership with Marvin Bembry. Hosted at Uline, the day featured a powerhouse panel discussion moderated by Dave Strash, President/CEO of the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce, followed by a behind-the-scenes tour of Uline’s impressive warehouse.

Our panelists—County Executive Samantha Kerkman, Uline Director of Finance Laura Thelen, and KABA President Nicole Ryf—brought a wealth of knowledge about leadership, workforce development, and the challenges and opportunities shaping Kenosha County’s economic future. Throughout the discussion, they shared their personal leadership journeys, philosophies, and experiences navigating obstacles. They emphasized the importance of adaptability in leadership, highlighting moments when things didn’t go as planned and the lessons learned along the way.

In the afternoon, Marvin Bembry returned for part two of his Inclusive Leadership series, guiding participants as they finalized their Inclusive Action Plans. This session wasn’t just about learning, but about taking action. Participants identified accountability partners, shared their next steps, and committed to integrating inclusive leadership principles into their work and community involvement. We’re excited to see how these leaders put their plans into motion!
