The Leadership Kenosha Class of 2026–27 is off to an exciting start! This year’s cohort began their journey with a two-day retreat designed to build trust, connection, and collaboration.
The class kicked things off by exploring the Real Colors® framework with Amy Greil, Executive Director of the Kenosha Community Foundation. This hands on session provided participants with valuable insight into their individual leadership styles, communication preferences, and approaches to working with others. Understanding and appreciating different perspectives is an important first step toward building stronger relationships and becoming more effective leaders.
The cohort also met with this year’s project partners, who will work alongside participants throughout the program. A special thank you goes to the Kenosha Area Chamber of Commerce, Kenosha Public Library, Boys & Girls Club of Kenosha, and Women and Children Horizons for sharing their time, expertise, and insight. Through these partnerships, participants gain hands-on leadership experience while working together to address meaningful needs within our community.
No Leadership Kenosha experience would be complete without Team Building Day! This year, the cohort took on Camp Wonderland, where participants were challenged to think creatively, communicate effectively, and rely on one another—both literally and figuratively. The day encouraged the group to step outside their comfort zones, build trust, and strengthen the teamwork skills that will serve them throughout the year.
