After an engaging September retreat, Leadership Kenosha participants were excited to jump into our October session at the Civil War Museum in downtown Kenosha.
October’s Leadership Kenosha session started with a visit from Mayor Bogdala. Participants had the opportunity to hear directly from the Mayor about his vision for Kenosha, current initiatives, and city priorities. His insights on leading with purpose in public service sparked thoughtful discussion among the group and offered an inside look at how leadership plays out at the municipal level.
Next, participants rolled up their sleeves for an interactive project management workshop led by Dee Ford. Through hands-on puzzles, project maps, and a digital project planning tool, teams explored strategies to set their community projects up for success. Dee’s session emphasized the importance of collaboration, planning, and adaptability.
Finally, the October session wrapped up with one of Leadership Kenosha’s favorite traditions, City Scoping! Teams ventured out across Kenosha to capture photos of meaningful locations — hidden gems, favorite spots to bring out-of-town guests, and places that represent the best of Kenosha. As always, we all learned something new and enjoyed the opportunity to look at Kenosha from a fresh perspective!
